Chief Operating Officer
Gina Gavini is Chief Operating Officer at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, Gina’s key areas of responsibility are operations, data, in-business operation controls, quality assurance, process automation, project management, business policy training, and business continuity and disaster recovery.
Prior to her current role, Gina served as Chief Risk and Quality Officer, overseeing index launches, data governance, internal controls, and quality assurance across the index business.
Gina joined S&P DJI in 2003 as an analyst in the McGraw-Hill Companies’ (now S&P Global) internal audit department. Soon after, she was offered a financial analyst role in the portfolio services business unit, where she stayed for two years. After moving on from finance, Gina expanded her index knowledge by rotating through several other functions; Product Management, Sales Operations & Strategy, PMO, and Risk before moving to her current role.
Prior to joining S&P DJI, Gina worked for KPMG LLP focusing primarily on financial statement audits, assessing technical accounting literature, and writing technical implementation standards for internal training programs.
