Vice President of People, S&P Global Platts
Fernando Gomez is the VP of People for S&P Global Platts, Finance and Internal Audit. Key areas of focus include talent/performance management, workforce planning, business partnering, process improvement, leadership development and organizational design.
Prior to this position, Fernando led the People IMO for the IHS Markit integration, Corporate Functions, EMEA and APAC regions, held HRBP roles at Corporate S&P Global, built and led LatAm region and supported S&P Global Ratings and Market Intelligence. Before S&P Global, he worked for several years in IBM, as HRBP for General Business, Software and Hardware organizations, with prior roles in Compensation, Benefits and Incentives in Latin America. He also served for 9 years in the Argentinean army.
Fernando earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from San Andres University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from IESE. He is married and has one daughter and two sons.
