Austin Metsch is a Director on the S&P Global Government Affairs team based in Washington, D.C. where he covers North American legislative and regulatory bodies. He works with a global team to enhance and protect S&P Global’s reputation and ability to do business through direct engagement with government agencies, policymakers, and stakeholders.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Austin was a Deputy Regional Finance Director at a Washington, D.C. based campaign committee that worked with Senate campaigns across the U.S., and an Associate at the Starboard Group, a Denver, Colorado based political consulting firm. He has nearly a decade of experience working in politics and policy.

John Mothersole serves of Research Director for the S&P Global’s Pricing and Purchasing Service. He has more than 35 years of experience in price analysis and price forecasting.  He helps supervise the Pricing and Purchasing Service’s price and wage forecasts and is directly responsible for the group’s nonferrous metal forecasts. As Director of Research, John also helps set and execute research priorities for the Pricing and Purchasing Service with a focus on alerting S&P Global colleagues and clients about potential supply chain risks and opportunities. He has also supervised a wide range of consulting studies related to supply chain and resource analysis. In addition to his work with S&P Global clients, John has provided analysis of inflation and commodity price movements to a number of news organizations and publications including ABC News, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Metal Bulletin and American Metal Market. John received his B.A. and M.A in economics from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the National Associate of Business Economists and has been a member of Purchasing Magazine’s Commodity Council. Dana Peterson is the Chief Economist & Center Leader of Economy, Strategy & Finance at The Conference Board. Peterson joins The Conference Board from Citi, where for many years she served as a North America Economist and later as a Global Economist. Her wealth of experience extends to the public sector, having also worked at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C.

Dana’s wide-ranging economics portfolio includes analyzing global economic themes having direct financial market implications, including monetary policy; fiscal and trade policy; debt; taxation; ESG; consumption, and demographics. Her work also examined myriad US themes leveraging granular data. In addition, Dana conducted multi-asset research and wrote publications with other Citi research teams – both US and global – including strategists covering rates, equities, credit, foreign exchange, commodities, political analysis, and asset allocation.

Peterson's research has been featured by US and international news outlets, both in print and broadcast. Publications and networks include CNBC, FOX Business, Bloomberg, Thomson-Reuters, CNN Finance, Yahoo Finance, TD Ameritrade, Barron’s, the Financial Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Esther has worked at S&P Global for 14 years and was previously a Senior Reporter in the S&P Global Market Intelligence newsroom where she wrote about climate change, ESG and energy issues. Prior, Esther worked two years as a reporter at Politico and spent several years before that in the S&P Global Platts energy newsroom in Washington, D.C.
