Assessing and Preparing for the Fed's Next Move

Date:
Tuesday, September 17, 2024
Location:
On-Demand
Duration:
30 minutes

On August 23, US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the "time has come for policy to adjust" as inflation has dropped closer to Fed officials' 2% target and the labor market has "cooled considerably from its formerly overheated state." As a result, the markets will be paying close attention to the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting set on September 17-18 to see if rates are lowered.

S&P Global Market Intelligence is excited to host a special 30-minute webinar on September 17 that will highlight the implication of a rate cut for the markets and banks, key metrics to monitor, and how firms can identify risks and opportunities as a result of rate changes. Join this event to discuss the following topics with our experts:

  • Where we are in the rate cycle
  • Key macro trends affecting banks
  • How to find interest rate risk disclosures within SEC filings
  • Funding and liquidity metrics
  • An analysis of bank rate activity
