– Blackford Capital Associates II Inc. acquired SFS Security Fire Systems Inc., a Dallas-Fort Worth area-based provider of sprinkler design, engineering and installation services. McGuireWoods and Varnum LLP acted as legal advisers for Blackford Capital, with Oak North Bank PLC providing financing. Plante Moran conducted financial and tax diligence for the acquisition.
– Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board invested in healthcare management company Omega Healthcare Management Services, joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP's alternatives investment unit as co-lead investor. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and TripleTree were co-lead financial advisers to Omega, with Weil Gotshal & Manges was legal counsel. RBC Capital Markets LLC acted as the financial adviser to Ontario Teachers', and Latham & Watkins served as legal counsel.
– Partners Group Holding AG partially exited Vishal Mega Mart Ltd., an India-based retailer and operator of some 640 stores nationwide. Vishal listed on both the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange in India following an IPO of about 1.03 billion common shares priced at 78 Indian rupees apiece. The IPO values the company at 370 billion rupees. As part of the IPO, a Partners Group affiliate sold approximately 23% of its stake in Vishal.
– Brooklyn Artificial Intelligence Research, an AI company doing business as Skopos Labs Inc., received a round of funding led by new backer Atypical Ventures. The transaction included participation from new investors Saltwater Capital LLC and S&P Global Ventures Inc. Skopos Labs was formerly known as PredictGov Inc.
– An affiliate of private equity firm Balmoral Funds LLC acquired R. H. Sheppard Co. Inc., a provider of steering technologies for trucks, from Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. The transaction includes the entire Sheppard business.
