Nicola Gallagher is an ESG Specialist at Sustainable 1, S&P Global, where she interfaces with financial institution clients to understand their ESG needs and provides access to best-in-class ESG and climate analytics tools and processes.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Nicola worked as an Investment Officer at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation where she originated private equity investments and led the ESG approval process for all equity funds deals. Previously, she worked as an Economist for the International Office of Trade at the Department of Homeland Security where she led economic assessments of new trade regulations and assessed their effect on the US economy and consumers. Additionally, she served in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica as a Community and Economic Development Consultant where she worked with small scale farmers to improve business practices. Nicola has a B.A. in Economics from NYU.

Deborah Halberstadt is the Senior Climate Policy Advisor for the California Department of Insurance, where she advocates for innovative solutions to the threats posed by climate change and catalyzes change through partnerships and collaboration. She leads efforts at the Department to limit climate dangers by incentivizing risk reduction, promoting resilient communities, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Liz is the President and CSO of Sustainability Advisors, developing sustainability strategies that deliver successful investor and employee engagements.

In her former role as COO and Head of ESG for Arch Investment Management, Liz was responsible for overseeing all the operations, compliance, and systems of the 26Bn Asset Manager as well as directing the ESG and responsible investing program. Over her more than 20 year career, Liz has gained broad business experience having worked for large international Wall Street firms as well as several technology startups.

Prior to joining Arch, Liz was Managing Director and COO for Global Fixed Income & Currencies at RBC. She also held various roles with Citi Prime Finance including CAO of the Americas, Head of Product Development, and Global Head of Marketing. Liz has been instrumental in spearheading mentoring and diversity programs throughout her career.

Liz has her MBA from UNC’s Keenan-Flagler Business School and her Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix. She has also held Series 7 and 63 licenses.
